Feeding ducks is bad -
Ducklings do not receive the nutrition they need, areas become overcrowed, leading to territorial aggression and diseases. Feeding birds in the winter helps weak and ill animals to survive, but in the longrun weakens entire species. The leftovers pollute the water, fish overcrowd etc, natural balance fails. Leftovers attract unwanted pests - rats, mice and insects, which can harbour additional diseases. Ducks and other birds lose their natural behaviour and fear and are thus prone to other dangers - e.g. being run over by cars. Additionally they lose their natural instincts to migrate.

Besides, throwing your trash all over the place is just plain stupid!
